The unit also provides care to patients with mental health disorders and step-down level of care patients (this includes cardiac drips, post-cath lab recovery, peritoneal dialysis, and more). The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 3-5 (depending on the acuity of the patients) on days and nights. The 4th-floor team is active in delivering exemplary care for every patient, every time!\n\nGeneral Description of the Job Class\n\nIndependently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Nurses hired into this limited benefited classification will commit to work a minimum number of hours in a designated inpatient nursing department. Compensation is a flat rate that is based on years of experience.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities of this Level\nPlan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
