Faulk County in Faulkton, SD is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating emergency response efforts and ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.

Responsibilities :

  • Receive emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel to the scene
  • Monitor and maintain communication with field units to provide assistance and support
  • Coordinate emergency response services with other agencies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls, responses, and actions taken
  • Provide clear and concise information to first responders and the public

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience as a Dispatcher or in a related field is preferred
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
