We are looking for an experienced Paralegal with expertise in immigration law to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will focus on preparing and managing O1 and P1 visa applications, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements. Based in Wellington, Florida, this position involves working closely with clients, attorneys, and external organizations to support comprehensive visa processing.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review immigration forms, including O1 and P1 visa applications, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Draft sample recommendation letters, employer letters, employment contracts, and other necessary documentation to support visa applications.
  • Organize and evaluate client-provided documents to verify they meet the criteria for O and P visas.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to finalize visa application packages and coordinate their submission.
  • Request and manage filing fees, including obtaining checks and arranging FedEx deliveries for timely processing.
  • Communicate with clients to explain application processes and gather required documentation related to their achievements.
  • Write detailed explanations on how submitted documents meet visa eligibility criteria.
  • Assist with obtaining advisory opinion letters from unions and other relevant organizations for each case.
  • Prepare and review consular processing forms, such as DS-156, and guide clients through the embassy visa interview process.
  • Manage multiple visa applications simultaneously, including those for teams, athletes, and entertainers.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an immigration paralegal, with a focus on O1 and P1 visas.
  • Strong knowledge of immigration law and visa petition processes.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and precise correspondence and documentation.
  • Proficiency in organizing and reviewing complex documentation for visa applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and explain legal procedures clearly.
  • Experience with consular processing, including preparing DS-156 online forms.
  • Familiarity with immigration form software is an advantage, though not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
