JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS

JOB SUMMARY

Requires working Monday through Friday and every other Holiday / overtime and on call as needed and approved by management. Performs tasks necessary to insure the patients, staff, and visitors have a clean and sanitized hospital to be in including performing and following established procedures, and may be required to work in all areas of the hospital including sterile and isolation areas. Performs in a teamwork environment and may be asked to do other duties within Environmental Services Department as assigned, including working other shifts and in different buildings as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional & Technical Skills

Successful completion of hospital and department orientation and training; must be able to read and understand labels, directions and policies.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

License(s) or Certification(s)

None

Other Skills or Requirements

Customer service oriented personality; two years of Environmental Services experience preferred but not required. Ability to learn and use computer system.

Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)
