Overview :
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in the healthcare domain to help design, build, and scale modern data solutions. This role will focus on high-volume data processing, AI / ML-driven data pipelines, and enabling healthcare organizations to unify and leverage their data for better decision-making. You’ll be part of a collaborative team working on a data platform that ingests and processes billions of records each month, supporting impactful projects across healthcare providers, payers, and senior care organizations.
What you will be doing :
Data Engineering (50%) : Build, scale, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and lakehouse solutions.
DataOps (20%) : Contribute to implementing DataOps practices to improve quality and efficiency.
Query & Algorithm Optimization (20%) : Write, optimize, and tune queries and algorithms for high performance.
Support & Monitoring (10%) : Monitor and maintain data pipelines to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Who Will Succeed in This Role?
Healthcare Data Expertise – Familiarity with healthcare data standards, regulations, and industry workflows.
Self-Starter & Curious Learner – Proactive problem solver who keeps up with industry trends and emerging tools.
Hands-On Databricks Experience – Comfortable working with Databricks on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Programming Skills – Proficiency in Python or Scala for large-scale data processing.
Spark & Lakehouse Familiarity – Experience with Spark, Delta Lakehouse, Delta Live Tables, and Unity Catalog.
What you must have :
6+ years of relevant industry experience in data engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Spark (Scala or Python) and Databricks.
Solid backend engineering skills with focus on scalability, availability, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems architecture.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Databricks DLT, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Airflow, etc.).
Proficiency with REST APIs and NoSQL databases.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
