Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position requiring an OH or compact license, BLS, NRP, and experience with Level IV NICU.

Responsibilities

\n

  • Work in a Level IV Neonatal ICU with a focus on infants requiring complex care
  • Float to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, medical-surgical, and occasionally ED units, as well as different campuses as needed
  • Will float to a BPD NICU with patients having an average stay of 2-3 years, involving frequent trach care and significant family involvement
  • Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00
  • Floating to Riverside, St. Ann's, Grant Medical, Dublin Methodist, and Doctors Hospital campuses is possible
  • Care for critically ill neonates and infants, manage complex respiratory equipment, and provide trach care
  • Engage frequently with parents and families as part of patient care
  • Be prepared for cross-unit collaborative work and adjust to different team structures depending on float assignment
  • Interview process consists of two steps including an interview with the Float Pool Leader and possible follow-up with the NICU unit manager
  • Late arrivals over three minutes are considered late under the facility's policy

    Requirements

    \n

  • Active OH or compact RN license in hand
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience and 2 years total Level III / IV NICU experience
  • Must provide two professional references, with at least one from a manager or supervisor
  • Cannot have been employed permanently at the facility within the last 2 years
  • No local candidates within a 60-mile radius are eligible
