The Town of Saratoga is a municipal corporation that is committed to providing high quality services to residents. As a sector of the Public Works Department, the Streets and Grounds Department provides a variety of support services to the public ensuring a safe and thriving community. Maintaining facilities ranging from recreation to transportation as well as supporting the water and sewer department at various times.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented candidate to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of operational, technical, and administrative duties to support the department's activities. Responsibility examples include :

• Operate applicable equipment in order to carry out the Town's snow plowing and removal program. I.e., dump truck, snowplow, loader, four-wheeler, sander, etc.
• Operate computer and some office equipment as required.
• Operate equipment as needed, skid steer, backhoe, grader, front end loader, street sweeper, roller, etc.
• Perform maintenance operations at the Public Swimming Pool and Hobo Hot - Springs Pools including cleaning facilities and maintaining equipment used to run the facility.
• Engage in grass and weed cutting on Town Properties, streets, and alleys.
• Perform maintenance on roads through grading, asphalt patching, chip sealing. Engage in all areas of street repair.
• Assist with and complete general maintenance to shop vehicles, equipment, and buildings.
• Maintaining green space facilities including mowing, irrigation, playground equipment, trees, shrubs, tables, etc.
• Cleaning and maintaining the Town's public restrooms.
• Assist with the Town's Mosquito Abatement Program. I.e. ULV fogging operation.
• Attend training and continuing education classes as required.
• Performing related work and other duties as assigned by the Public Works Director and / or Department Foreman. Such as assisting the water and sewer department.
