Senior Affordable Housing Analyst

You will be the central figure for the most complex aspects of the Affordable Housing Program (AHP), primarily focusing on two areas :

Advanced Underwriting & Funding

  • Lead the review and selection for the most complicated loan applications for affordable housing projects, assessing their financial viability and risk.
  • Provide final approval / denial recommendations for large grant and funding disbursements, ensuring all required documentation is correct and compliant.
  • Manage transactions and processes related to various grant programs (AHP, HELP, SNAP).

Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring (The "Rules" Side)

  • Oversee ongoing compliance for all rental projects, specifically monitoring Income Targeting and Rent Compliance over the long term.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME), providing technical advice on complex AHP rules to internal teams, member banks, and non-profits.
  • Develop and update policies to ensure the AHP is administered as effectively and compliantly as possible.
  • Monitor project performance and provide strategic recommendations on troubled projects to senior management.
  • What You'll Need

  • Education : A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field is required.
  • Experience : 6+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis and credit underwriting, with a significant focus on commercial real estate, multi-family properties, or housing development.
  • Essential Expertise : Demonstrated deep expertise in Affordable Housing Program (AHP) compliance and long-term regulatory monitoring.
  • Skills : Exceptional communication and presentation skills to clearly explain complex regulations.
  • Travel : Ability to travel up to 10% for presentations and industry events.
  • Preferred : A Master's degree, completion of a major bank credit training program, or professional housing / compliance certification.

    Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $80,000.00 - $104,000.00
