Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (New York healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Resource Pool - Med / Surg Telemetry, float to ED HOLD and other Telemetry units Assignment Length : 16 weeks (option to extend) Start Date : December 29, 2025 Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2100 - $2250 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Requirement : Work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas / Christmas Eve, New Year's Day / Eve) Orientation : 1 day EMR System : EPIC Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York RN license (or proof of application) Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse At least 1 year of experience in Med / Surg Telemetry nursing American Heart Association BLS certification (required) NIH Stroke Scale certification (required prior to start) CMSRN certification (preferred) EPIC charting experience within the past 2 years (required) Reliable personal or rental vehicle (public transportation not available) Ability to float to multiple hospital units as scheduled Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care to adults (ages 25-99) in Med / Surg Oncology, Ortho, Urology, and ED HOLD units Float between R5, R6, R7, and other Telemetry units as needed Perform clinical procedures including IV starts, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose monitoring Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR Collaborate with CNAs, PCTs, unit clerks, and respiratory therapists Maintain professional appearance (navy blue & white scrubs, solid colors) Follow all hospital protocols, safety standards, and participate in required orientation / training Discover why Plattsburgh, NY is a top destination for travel nurses—enjoy a supportive healthcare environment, professional growth, and access to the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain.
