Position Summary

The CVS Health Payroll team is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to support the outsourced payroll operations team and CVS Health business units. This role is responsible for ensuring excellence in payroll operations and change request submission and review. The payroll analyst will identify and resolve issues, participate in complex projects, ensure operational performance and manage outsourcing relationships. The Payroll Sr Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy of daily payroll execution and delivery of timely, accurate pay to our colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage employee overpayment collection process directing the service provider for optimal recovery
  • Analyze submitted EIB Enterprise Interface Builder (formatted excel based files) for submission to service provider and Workday
  • Respond to Internal Audit requests for SOX reporting
  • Support payroll analytical reporting (ie trends, defects, etc.) Bring your expertise, problem solving skills, and creativity to add value to the payroll organization
  • Unify distributed efforts and own the plan to deliver quality outcomes for our colleagues
  • Work across internal teams to ensure that we continue integrating internal support capabilities with the best-in-class colleague experience as new services and features are launched
  • Promote the use of payroll compliant principles
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and influence change at all levels of the organization
  • Support projects ensuring on-time delivery of commitments through data preparation, execution, engagement, and documentation
  • Submit change request on behalf of business lines
  • Partner with both the IT organization and our Service Provider on business requirement documents
  • Use best practices to ensure operations are run efficiently

Required Qualifications

3+ years of payroll operational experience

Proven ability to drive end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership

Experience in supporting repeatable processes and driving standardization

Excellent collaboration skills, and the confidence to challenge and influence the outcome of payroll processes

Ability to resolve conflicts and / or negotiate with others to achieve positive results

Proven work experience in a payroll orientated role

Must have a strong working knowledge of payroll operations to succeed in this role

Ability to oversee multiple assignments simultaneously

Able to translate complex data from a range of sources into leader ready insights and deliverables

Experience in initiating plan, organize, motivate, mentor, direct and evaluate the work of others

Proficient with employee related software (preferable Workday)

Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Excel as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Willingness to travel as needed and working in a balanced hybrid environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience reporting payroll operational metrics

Experience with Payroll / HR specific technologies, particularly WorkDay HCM / Payroll and Infor's Workbrain Time & Labor application

Education

Bachelor's degree in work-related discipline / field from an accredited college or university; and or equivalent relevant profession work experience in payroll

Certified Payroll Professional, CPP Designation

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is :

$46,988.00 - $112,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
