Authorization Specialist
for their East Meadow office. This is a

What an Authorization Specialist Does
Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for patient care.
Accurately submit and track insurance claims.
Review clinician documentation for compliance and accuracy.
Handle front office duties including clerical tasks, mail, and document preparation.
Manage petty cash, office supplies, and financial documentation.
Assist with scheduling appointments for patients and practitioners.
Generate reports on revenue, patient flow, and operational performance.
Authorization Specialist Qualifications
Minimum
2 years of medical office experience , insurance verification, or administrative work.
Knowledge of medical billing and insurance reimbursement processes.
Strong communication skills for working with patients, staff, and insurance providers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical billing software.
