Building And Grounds Assistant (Custodial)

Provides custodial services and supports events primarily in Shriver Center; performs a variety of custodial tasks related to setting up events and maintaining the university's buildings, facilities, and grounds. Hours for this position are 11 : 00 P.M to 6 A.M Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (off Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule to cover some Saturday nights. Schedule is determined in advance.

Essential Duties

• Performs event set ups
• Picks up trash and / or litter from university buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles
• May sweep and mop rooms and hallways; may dust and perform general cleaning of rooms; may clean windows
• May vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; may clean and sanitize restrooms
• May pick up and / or deliver equipment and supplies
• May perform cleaning / washing duties.
