R&D Maintenance Services, Inc. provides operations and maintenance services on U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects throughout the southeast - since 1980. We are the Operations and Maintenance Contractor for the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway providing maintenance and repair services on several hundred miles of waterway, numerous facilities / recreations areas, and locks / dams / spillways on the system. GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

The Tractor Operator operates a 70-100hp ag tractor in mowing, tree trimming, and cultivating / planting operations. This driver will load or unload truck with or without helpers, make minor mechanical repairs, and keep truck in good working order. Performs preventive and scheduled maintenance tasks necessary to keep machinery, equipment, and tools in proper working condition.

ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS :

• Operates a 70-100hp ag tractor in mowing and trimming operations with a bushog, side boom, finish mower, flail mower, bat-wing, box blade, etc., and in maintenance operations with a blower, sprayer, box blade, etc.)
• Operates ag tractor (up to 100hp) with agricultural attachments (disc harrow, seed drill, cultivator, spreader, etc.)
• Responsible for maintaining safe work performance and conveying safe work procedures to employees under supervision.
• Keeps the Supervisor informed on project status.
• Operates vehicles and / or equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Inspects site to ensure safe environment to load and unload.
• Compliant with company and customer policies and safety procedures.
• Reports any accidents and / or injuries immediately.
• May supervise, coordinate, and / or direct the work of skilled and semi-skilled employees engaged in the operation of grounds maintenance equipment.
• Performs all required DOT inspections and complies with other regulatory DOT requirements by adhering to state and federal laws and regulations.
• Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
• Create documentation on services providing legible and accurate information.
