Position Summary

The Engineering Manager role requires a professional, organized leader with a preferred background in Chemical Engineering and / or proven experience in the coating industry. This position oversees both the Engineering and Maintenance Departments, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and on-time execution.

The Engineering Manager will lead product testing and trials, optimize line parameters for maximum production efficiency, and ensure all processing lines operate within specification to achieve high-quality results. This role is also responsible for assigning and directing Engineering staff and System Operators, as well as coordinating maintenance operations to keep equipment performing at peak reliability.

Qualifications (include but not limited to) : Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering (or related field) required

Minimum 3-5 years experience in the coating industry Preferred

Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Demonstrated dependability with strong attendance record

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in resolving equipment issues

Ability to work safely and in compliance with all environmental and safety policies

Professional demeanor in interactions with customers and vendors

Flexibility to adjust schedule, be available during off-shifts, and travel as required

Skilled at coordinating complex, multi-step processes and delegating effectively

Proven ability to follow up and ensure timely completion of projects

Key Duties (include but not limited to) : Lead and coordinate the Engineering Department for new and existing product testing, trials, and process improvements

Engineer and adjust line parameters to achieve maximum production efficiency and product quality

Assign, delegate, and verify completion of daily tasks for Engineering staff and System Operators

Review and ensure accuracy of all engineering-related daily shift forms; prepare concise summary reports for company associates

Direct preparation of the annual Engineering & Maintenance Department budget, including equipment needs and improvement initiatives

Collaborate with company support and corporate staff to align on strategic objectives and achieve results

Oversee and assist with maintenance and equipment projects across all processing lines, ensuring proper preventive maintenance (PM) schedules are met

Ensure all processing equipment is maintained to the highest operational standards for safety, quality, and reliability
