Technical Sales Representative
Position : Direct Hire.
Salary : $55K to $62K (Depending on experience).
Location : Wentzville, MO (MUST BE LOCAL).
Hours : Monday – Friday (8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.).
Remote : Office Location (No Remote or Hybrid).
Status : Must be a US citizen.
Travel : Minimal.

Summary : Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Representative (TSR) to act as a primary technical resource for the sales team, actively driving and managing the application evaluation stage of the sales process. This role includes review and interpretation of customer technical requirements and specifications, and a comprehensive understanding of quarter-turn valve and actuation products. The focus of this role is the preparation of accurate quotations and ensuring clear communication of requirements between the customer and internal departments. The TSR must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all applications and assure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Qualifications :
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 1-2 years engineering or technical sales experience preferred.
Skills :
Proficient math and reading skills, including basic statistics.Proficient computer competency, including Excel.Good understanding of fundamental engineering principles.Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.Ability to troubleshoot and determine root causes.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Ability to focus and pay attention for extended period of time.Responsibilities :
Assist customers in sales and other technical inquiries, build rapport and customer relationships.Act as primary technical resource and product advocate for the sales team and customers.Review and interpret customer technical requirements and project specifications.Perform design reviews and calculations using engineering tools and programs.Perform cost vs. performance analysis to offer customers the best value for their budget.Maintain and continually improve knowledge and expertise of Delta T / Sesto Valves core products, including operating principles, best use practices, and basic troubleshooting.Maintain knowledge of industry’s best practices and competitors’ products.Go above and beyond to find solutions to customers’ problems.
