We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our Assurance team. This role is pivotal in providing audit and assurance services to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for leading audit engagements from planning to completion, reviewing financial statements for accuracy, and developing audit strategies. This role also involves coaching junior associates, fostering strong client relationships, and staying abreast of industry developments. If you have a knack for problem-solving, a passion for mentoring, and a strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and firm policies, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the execution of audit and assurance engagements from planning to completion, including fieldwork and reporting phases.
  • Review working papers, financial statements, and audit reports for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards (GAAP, GAAS, and firm policies).
  • Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary information and documentation for engagements.
  • Identify and communicate audit issues and areas for risk mitigation to clients and management.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of audit strategies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates, promoting a culture of learning and development.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring timely communication and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Stay up to date with relevant industry developments and regulatory changes, contributing to the firm’s knowledge pool.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals for new clients and business development activities.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an audit or assurance role within a public accounting or consulting firm.
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant regulatory and financial reporting standards.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to identify and communicate audit issues and areas for risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior associates.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit-related software.
