A reputable law firm in Louisville, KY is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Business Litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in business and tort litigation to engage in complex legal matters while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will support the firm's attorneys by providing high-level legal assistance, helping to protect and advance clients' interests.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide clear, actionable legal analysis.
- Communicate effectively both in writing and orally, ensuring clients and team members receive concise, well-structured advice.
- Manage aspects of complex litigation cases with appropriate supervision, ensuring high-quality work product.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and attract new client opportunities.
- Assist in business development efforts through writing, presentations, and client outreach.
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, deposition summaries, and indices.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings as necessary.
- Utilize e-discovery tools to manage case materials and stay current with technology.
- Maintain professional and effective interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to firm policies, including timely billing and administrative responsibilities.
- Participate in continuing legal education (CLE) to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to team meetings, associate recruitment events, and firm-wide initiatives.
Requirements
2-4 years of experience in business or tort litigation.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously.Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF applications.Familiarity with appellate brief preparation and citation formats.Willingness to travel for client meetings and depositions, including overnight stays as necessary.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
