We are seeking a Cloud Operations Lead with deep Azure and Microsoft 365 expertise to optimize, monitor, and secure our enterprise cloud environment.This is a hands-on operational role focused on reliability, cost optimization, and compliance readiness, not a DevOps or development position. The Cloud Operations Lead will be responsible for managing and optimizing Cosán’s Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our infrastructure.This individual will oversee monitoring, backups, identity and access governance, and operational best practices across Azure services and M365 applications. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of bridging infrastructure, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and long-term cloud maturity.What You’ll Do :
Azure Cloud Administration Manage, monitor, and optimize all Azure resources and services, ensuring availability, security, and cost efficiency.Maintain and refine Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Defender for Cloud dashboards and alerts.Oversee resource groups, networking, identity, and permissions in line with Zero Trust principles.Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes; ensure policy compliance with cyber-insurance requirements.Track and report Azure spending trends; recommend and implement cost optimization strategies.Coordinate with Engineering on performance bottlenecks, capacity planning, and infrastructure changes.Microsoft 365 & Identity Management Administer Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Autopilot, and SharePoint Online.Oversee user lifecycle management, conditional access, and licensing across M365.Support endpoint compliance policies and integration with patching tools (Kaseya, Intune).Partner with Compliance to ensure proper audit logging, retention, and role-based access controls.Monitoring, Resilience & Security Maintain environment observability through dashboards, alerts, and trend analysis.Manage SSL certificates, DNS, and firewall configurations.Evaluate EDR posture and partner with IT leadership on Defender for Endpoint adoption.Participate in semiannual Security Risk Assessments and remediation planning.Governance & Compliance Partner with Compliance and IT to support HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST obligations.Maintain accurate operational and security documentation.Develop and document environment runbooks, DR procedures, and escalation workflows.Collaboration & Support Serve as the escalation point for complex cloud or M365 incidents.Work closely with Product Engineering on environment reliability and release readiness.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Azure and M365 operations.Required Qualifications :
4–6 years of experience in Azure Cloud Administration or Cloud Operations roles.Expertise with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, and M365 administration.Experience managing Intune, Autopilot, SharePoint Online, and conditional access policies.Strong grasp of Azure infrastructure, cost management, and backup / recovery operations.Familiarity with SQL Azure performance monitoring and coordination with data teams.Background working in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, PCI).Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation. Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Power Automate, PowerShell Automation, and Auto Pilot.Experience supporting CI / CD or Azure DevOps pipelines.Azure or Microsoft certifications such as :
Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102).Security+ or HITRUST CCSFP. Compensation & Benefits :
