Must-Have :

Must have Charge RN experience.

Experience in pre and post-operative nursing.

Ability to manage blood transfusions and phase II recovery.

Description :

Candidates must have Charge RN experience.

The unit consists of 12 beds in the outpatient unit and 4 holding room bays for pre-operative surgical cases.

There are 6 beds in the same-day discharge unit.

Staffing typically includes 7-10 RNs.

Day shift staffing example includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters.

All nurses work day shift starting at either 0500 or 0600 for 4-12 hour shifts or 5-8 hour shifts.

Night shift patient ratios are 1 : 3.

The type of equipment used includes vital signs monitors and stretchers.

The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech.

Typical procedures performed on the unit involve pre-operative patients as well as post-operative care in phase II.

Best personality fit is adaptable and team-oriented.

Floating to the PACU is expected.

Scrubs will be provided in navy blue.

Expect to be on call every 4-7 weekends plus one day during the week and on holidays.

Guaranteed hours are 32 per week.
