Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department Holding position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the ER Holding unit of a hospital setting
  • Patient populations include geriatric / end-of-life care, skilled swing bed rehab, and acute care cases
  • Responsibilities include stabilization, treatment, transfer, discharge, or admission of ER patients
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18 : 00-06 : 00)
  • Care for a diverse range of patients including those requiring individualized geriatric, end-of-life, and rehabilitation care
  • Manage medication and monitor patients with various diagnoses in acute care settings
  • Participate in patient stabilization, treatment planning, and coordination of transfers or admissions

    • Requirements

  • Active MT or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications : Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
