Job description :

Pride Health is hiring for an Echo Tech to support our clients medical facility based in Madison, WI . This is a local contract or travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details :

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) following ASE protocols
  • Conduct stress echocardiograms (dobutamine, treadmill), bubble studies , and imaging with contrast agents (e.g., Definity, Optison )
  • Work with advanced modalities including 2D, 3D, M-Mode , and Strain imaging
  • Handle calculations including Simpsons Rule , LV strain / volume , Diastology , and PISA
  • Utilize ultrasound equipment including GE and Philips , and systems such as PACS and Epic
  • Perform portable studies in ICU, ED, and inpatient units
  • Independently manage a daily volume of 7 scans
  • Communicate preliminary impressions to reading / supervising physicians
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, support clinical education for fellows / students
  • Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions

Skills Required- :

  • Proficient in adult echo imaging : 2D / 3D, Doppler, Bubble Study, RVIT / RVOT
  • Able to administer Ultrasound Enhancement Agents (UEA)
  • Experience in IAC-accredited labs and following ASE protocols
  • Experience in Trauma Level I or II facilities preferred / required
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum Experience :
  • At least 2 years of adult cardiac sonography experience required
  • Travel experience required
  • Must meet pace and volume expectations (7 scans / day)
  • Certifications (One or more required) :

  • RDCS (AE) ARDMS
  • RCS CCI
  • BLS American Heart Association only
  • (Preferred : CCI RCCS , CCI , additional ARDMS credentials)
  • Education :

  • Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound program
  • Associates Degree in Biological Sciences , Radiology , Ultrasound , or similar
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Teaching or academic hospital environment
  • Community or LTAC facility exposure
  • Pediatric or adolescent echo (occasional)
  • IV Certification (preferred)
  • Work Setting :

  • Adult Acute Care
  • ER, ICU
  • Outpatient Clinics
  • Additional Information :

  • Location : Madison, WI
  • Job Type : 13 weeks- local contract or travel contract
  • Schedule :
  • Days, MondayFriday 5x8-hour shifts

    Variable start times between 7 : 00 AM 9 : 00 AM

    Occasional weekend rotation (8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM)

    An occasional call may be requested

  • Pay Range / Salary Range : $2710 / wk to $2910 / wk
