Facility Maintenance Technician (Data Center)

Corvid Technologies is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, efficient at multi-tasking, and comfortable interacting with various stakeholders to achieve a variety of objectives related to maintenance and operation of Corvid's state-of-the-art Data Center.

This position will execute a variety of tasks to support operations, with a heavy focus on maintaining the required cooling and power systems required for a large HPC facility. Candidate will work closely with the leadership to identify, implement and maintain the required infrastructure needed to ensure availability of the extensive computing resources operated in the facility.

Some examples of typical tasking will include :

• Monitor and maintain environmental control systems for cooling and humidity
• Assist facility manager in monitoring, acknowledging, resolving and / or escalating facility alarms (including some responsibility for responding to after-hours notifications)
• Build out data center cabinets & racks, install servers and other components, wiring & cabling in an efficient manner, including installing custom length ethernet cables
• Maintain an organized and professional facility for efficient operations and professional appearance, including coordinating or executing facility upkeep (including janitorial services)
• Ensure all security policies are followed, including labeling hardware / devices correctly, switching racks to new networks and removing & decommissioning failed devices
• Preferred candidate will have the ability (or interest) to support a variety of technical tasks related to Data Center operations, including replacing failed hard drives, updating firmware, and support network administrators with diagnosing problems with infrastructure servers.
