About the Role
The Healthcare Business Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting provider engagement and partnership development. This position focuses on conducting outreach to physician practices and healthcare organizations, coordinating introductory meetings, and managing essential business development tasks. It is a high-visibility role with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and team needs.
What You’ll Do
Healthcare Provider Outreach & Engagement
- Demonstrate consummate professionalism when engaging with senior executives, physicians, and healthcare leaders across calls, Zoom meetings, and email correspondence.
- Skillfully break the ice, build rapport, and lead group meetings with confidence and poise, ensuring productive and positive interactions.
- Build professional, collaborative relationships with providers, referral coordinators, and practice managers to identify partnership opportunities.
- Conduct outbound calls to physicians, medical offices, and healthcare organizations to introduce MDT’s accredited services.
- Prioritize qualified prospects and coordinate warm handoffs to Business Development leadership.
- Qualify leads by targeting the correct Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), emphasizing decision-maker identification, verified contact information, and data enrichment.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage introductory meetings and discovery calls for the Business Development team.
- Document and maintain accurate outreach records in CRM.
- Support provider onboarding activities by coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs.
Business Development & Administrative Support
Update and manage partner data in our CRM (Zoho preferred), contributing to pipeline visibility and reporting.Provide scheduling, calendar management, and meeting coordination support for MDT leadership.Assist in preparing customized presentations and partnership materials tailored to healthcare audiences.Initiate and track follow-up communications with prospective partners.Research & Reporting
Research healthcare markets, prospective partners, health systems, IPAs, FQHCs, and competitor activity.Compile and analyze outreach and engagement data for regular reporting.Contribute insights to help refine provider targeting, outreach scripts, and engagement strategy.Identify process improvement opportunities within the business development function.Monitor provider feedback to highlight opportunities for strengthening engagement.Who We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field with 2–4 years of experience; OR seasoned professional with 5–8 years of directly relevant experience in business development, provider relations, or outreach support (in lieu of degree)Comfortable with outbound calling and initiating professional conversations.CRM system experience (Zoho CRM highly preferred).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized with keen attention to detail.Ability to adjust work schedule that accommodates different time zones for strategic engagement.Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative.Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in healthcare, health tech, or medical device industries.Provider relations, lead generation, and appointment-setting experience.Familiarity with business development reporting and analytics.Advanced CRM or data enrichment experience.Why Join Us?
