Pay Information

$2,612 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Pharmacist-in-Charge

Profession : Pharmacist

Specialty : Pharmacy

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy practice experience

License : Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the facility state

Certifications : Additional state-specific Pharmacist-in-Charge credentials

Must-Have Skills / Experience :

Basic computer knowledge

Appropriate communication skills

Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)

Description :

Immediate start date required.

Position requires full administrative leadership for daily pharmacy operations.

Identify policy and procedure gaps and collaborate with operations to resolve them.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Implement new services, procedures, and pharmacy automation as required.

Lead departmental performance improvement programs.

Manage pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Develop and maintain technician and pharmacist schedules.

Adjust staffing plans based on patient acuity and census.

Oversee purchasing and inventory management to ensure safe and cost-effective use of medications.

Complete hospital medication inventories as required.

Accurately verify and dispense medication orders while overseeing technician work.

Monitor and evaluate critical processes of medication management to identify and mitigate risks.

Actively participate with physicians and clinical staff in quality and performance improvement initiatives.

Provide clinical pharmacy services, including anticoagulant monitoring and therapy optimization.

Educate physicians, nurses, and staff with timely and accurate drug information.

Participate in medication reconciliation and document clinical interventions per policy.

Maintain positive relationships with medical staff, administration, and patients.

Perform other duties as assigned.

The position will function as the pharmacy supervisor.

The patient population primarily consists of rehabilitation and geriatric adults.
