About the Role
A national law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with at least 2 years of experience to join its Labor & Employment practice group in Orange County, California. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment law matters, including single-plaintiff disputes and complex wage and hour class actions. The role is ideal for a motivated attorney seeking hands-on experience with sophisticated clients, direct case responsibility, and mentorship in a supportive, low-turnover environment.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in labor and employment matters, including claims involving FEHA, wage and hour violations, and agency complaints
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements
- Conduct and defend depositions, prepare for hearings, and assist with trial preparation
- Provide strategic legal counsel to clients across a variety of employment law issues
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters
- Maintain timely and accurate case documentation and reporting
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in the State of California2+ years of experience in civil litigationFamiliarity with labor and employment law, including FEHA, wage & hour, and administrative agency practiceStrong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDesired Qualifications
