Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships. Advocates for patients' rights from the patient / family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues. Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients / families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs. Experience : Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse. Education : BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. License : Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Certification : Basic Life Support with American Heart Association. Strong scrubbing background Experienced in Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, Robot & Vascular cases Circulating and scrubbing experience AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and / or CNOR
Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. This team member will support our patients on weekdays . Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.
Full-Time, Day shift : Two 8hr & Two 12hr shifts per week.
On-call required.
Inova Alexandria Hospital is a beautiful 318-bed community hospital located in the city of Alexandria. Our OR is equipped with 11 OR suites and 4 Endoscopy Suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, general ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Full range of Endoscopy services including Heartburn Treatment.
