Senior Customer Project Manager

Amentum is seeking a Senior Customer Project Manager to join our team of passionate individuals in Omaha, NE. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation's security and intelligence mission.

The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Customer Project Manager include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Lead large-scale or complex project segments, including cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Analyze new and complex project-related challenges and develop innovative solutions in areas such as finance, scheduling, technology, and methodologies.
  • Provide systems analysis, customer coordination, and liaison support for troubleshooting site outages and maintenance requests for government sites, facilities, or distributed locations.
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, communication, risk, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communications and project-related coordination.
  • Track project performance and implement process improvements where needed.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and executive-level briefings.

Requirements :

  • Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or the ability to acquire Top Secret / SCI
  • 10 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a customer-facing or government-related role.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale or complex projects, preferably in government or regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and operational problems and deliver effective, innovative solutions.
  • Experience with IT support planning and IT systems (i.e. Routers, Switches, TACLANEs).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Remedy)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, normally Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last-minute requests for overtime if needed.
  • Ability to travel (5-10%) primarily within 75 miles.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project and Visio.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong critical thinking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Clearance Required : Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI

    Minimum Education : High School Diploma

    Minimum Years of Experience : 10 years of relevant experience

    Preferred : Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification Experience with federal acquisition and contracting processes Knowledge of ITIL, CMMI, or similar IT process frameworks. Background in enterprise-level system modernization or digital transformation projects.
