Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and experienced Medical Assistants to join our growing team. We encourage candidates to apply for their AR X-Ray License prior to starting work.

JOB SUMMARY :

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering basic clinical care to patients. Our full-time staff operates on rotating 36-40 hour weeks, while PRN team members work on an as-needed basis. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

The following duties highlight what is expected of you in this position, but are not meant to cover every aspect. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Greet patients promptly and warmly upon their arrival.
  • Keep patients informed about wait times and guide them through the next steps in their treatment.
  • Resolve patient issues and identify when to seek assistance in emergent situations.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with urgency and care.
  • Support front desk team with patient check-in / check-out duties as needed.
  • Accurately measure and document patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
  • Assist with patient transfers and procedures under the direct supervision of the provider.
  • Adhere to documentation protocols and complete all required patient visit records.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS Certification
  • At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Medical Assistant Certificate is preferred; willingness to apply for AR LLT is required
