Job Summary / Description :

WAFB is expanding its industry-leading digital team with the addition of a STREAMING TV ANCHOR.

WAFB is looking for a vibrant journalist who specializes in creating and delivering news content for digital, streaming, and social media platforms. This position requires a college degree in journalism or a related field. A digital anchor must have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to ad-lib and adapt to live situations. The Streaming TV anchor will be responsible for covering live events and breaking news from the digital studio with an emphasis on accuracy and urgency.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, producing, reporting, editing, and presenting news for digital, and assisting the digital team in creating engaging content for various social media accounts.

The streaming anchor will also work with the digital team to determine relevant content, flag trending topics, and identify the best platform for optimal viewing and engagement.

Qualifications / Requirements :

Vibrant and confident on-camera presentation

Ability to work well under pressure

College degree in journalism or related field
