Responsibilities
- Patient Care : Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Medication Administration : Administer oral and intravenous medications as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and report any adverse reactions to the supervising RN or physician.
- Vital Signs Monitoring : Regularly assess and document patients' vital signs, recognizing and reporting any significant changes in condition.
- Assisting with Procedures : Support physicians and RNs during medical procedures and examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Patient Education : Provide patients and their families with information regarding medications, treatment plans, and coping strategies related to mental health conditions.
- Collaboration : Work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including RNs, physicians, social workers, and therapists, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Documentation : Accurately record patient information, interventions, and responses in medical records, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies.
- Crisis Intervention : Assist in managing crisis situations by employing de-escalation techniques and ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
- Daily Living Support : Aid patients with activities of daily living as needed, promoting independence and dignity.
Requirements :
