CVICU RN Job Details Location : Salem, Oregon (97301) – Willamette Valley Assignment Length : 13 weeks travel contract Start Date : November 10, 2025 Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours available) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1860 - $2000 Healthcare Setting : Blended Cardiovascular ICU / Intermediate Care Unit (30 beds : 18 CVICU, 12 CVIMCU) Patient Population : Ages 16 with primary cardiac diagnoses Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience, with strong cardiovascular background Active RN license (Oregon nursing license required before start) BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) Epic charting experience Travel nursing experience Telemetry skills Preferred : CCRN certification CVICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients, including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, and cardiothoracic surgery recovery (CABG, valve repair / replacement, VATS / thoracotomy) Manage advanced cardiac devices and therapies : IABP, Impella, LVAD / RVAD, CRRT, targeted temperature management Interpret and manage telemetry and arterial blood gases Administer emergency medications and titrate cardiac / vasoactive drips Care for ventilated patients; manage central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes Float between CVICU, CVIMCU, and other critical care units as needed Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care Participate in ongoing nursing training and professional development Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this CVICU RN job in Salem, Oregon!
