Manager, Packaging & Corporate Creative Services

The Packaging & Corporate Creative Services Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the creative team’s workflow while guiding and elevating the design process for packaging, in-store displays, and corporate creative initiatives. This position ensures the team delivers high-quality creative solutions that meet deadlines, adhere to licensed brand guidelines, and support key business objectives. Demonstrating creativity and ingenuity, this role involves crafting solutions that adeptly convey product attributes while staying within specified brand guidelines and cost constraints. Working in close collaboration with the Art Director, the Manager partners on creative direction, workload project management, and team development—ensuring alignment on both day-to-day execution and operational excellence of the team. This position will serve as a bridge between the creative team and cross‑functional partners, maintaining a balance of efficiency, innovation, and brand excellence. This role provides the opportunity to work with national brands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the Senior Packaging Designers, ensuring clear direction, resource alignment, and project prioritization.
  • Serve as the primary project manager for packaging and corporate creative workload, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are clearly defined, communicated, and met through our project management tool, Airtable.
  • Oversee the design and execution of packaging and display concepts, from initial concept through brand‑approved, “ready for press” final files.
  • Foster a collaborative and engaging team culture, supporting professional development and creative growth of the Packaging & Corporate Creative Services team.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills, balancing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment, keeping initiatives on track and on time.
  • Partner closely with the Art Director on creative vision, brand alignment, process improvement, and workload management to deliver best‑in‑class creative solutions.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product Design, Sales, and Sourcing teams to ensure creative assets align with business objectives, cost requirements, and deadlines.
  • Ensure licensed brand guidelines are followed through, by providing visual direction at photoshoots, managing internal brand collateral and delivering innovative solutions that highlight product features and enhance consumer communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience of creatives in the packaging field.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong project management, communication, problem solving and organizational skills, with a detail‑oriented approach to planning and execution.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a detail‑oriented approach to planning and execution.
  • Solid understanding of print production, packaging development, and brand identity systems, with the ability to create Ready for Print mechanicals.
  • Experience with licensed branding and interpreting brand style guides for product extensions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to problem solve and influence across functions.
  • Experience with PLM and Project Management Software (Airtable) a plus.
  • Annual salary range of 100,000 - 115,000.
