About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Profession : Allied Health

Shift : 12-hour Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 36 hours (0700-1900)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required.

License : NC Licensure required.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.

Must-Have : RRT or CRT.

Description :

Respiratory Therapist position available.

Facility has 247 licensed beds.

It is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a teaching hospital.

Provides chest pain and certified stroke care.

The traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of the home unit.

Patient care will be provided for all patients throughout the facility.

Work with neonates, pediatrics, and adults as needed when floating.

Ventilator experience is required for both IPPV and NIPPV.

Experience in ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and General Medical Floors is needed.

Support is provided within the department by respiratory leadership.

Utilize EMR : EPIC.

The department has specific equipment like ventilators (IPPV / NIPPV).

Travelers will float per regional needs and be required to float to all facilities within scope of practice if needed.

If floating mid-shift, travelers will be paid for travel time between facilities.

Scheduling requires weekend rotation every other week.

No call is necessary.

Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.

Requests for time off can be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays.

Shift times may vary : 0645-1915 or 1845-0715.

A schedule cycle will be every 6 weeks.

Scrub color is royal blue.
