Industrial Electrician

Job Purpose

Perform repair and maintenance tasks on machinery, building systems, and support equipment. Work independently in determining methods and procedures, with assignments given orally or through written instructions, sketches, or diagrams.

Key Responsibilities

Install electrical systems and related equipment

Troubleshoot, test, maintain, and evaluate equipment using electronic instruments

Install and repair electrical systems for production machines

Perform conduit sizing and installation

Specify materials needed for projects

Prepare accurate records for TPMs and preventative maintenance

Complete preventative work orders as scheduled

Adhere to facility safety practices and Lock Out / Tag Out procedures

Participate in continuous improvement events, meetings, and contractor interactions

Support parts inventory and cycle counts

Carry out environmental compliance tasks as required

Perform related duties as assigned

Education & Qualifications

Certification required : General Industrial Electricity & Motor Controls

Certification preferred : PLCs

High school diploma desired

Must supply own hand tools

Skills & Experience

3–5 years industrial electrician experience

PC literate; able to read and understand ladder logic and PLCs

Strong troubleshooting skills for VFDs (AC / DC)

Knowledge of National Electric Code, electrical / electronic testing equipment, blueprints, and schematics

Ability to train others and work with minimal supervision

Physical Demands

Must be able to work any shift and required overtime

Ability to lift at least 35 lbs to shoulder height

Occasional stair climbing, bending, and stooping

Stand and walk for 100% of shift

Must be able to distinguish color codes

Work Environment

100% of time on manufacturing floor

Moderate noise levels

Personal protective equipment required (NFPA-70E gear, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)
