Responsibilities :

Perform specialized functions, complex assessments, diagnoses, therapies, and emergency treatments for patients during rotor-wing, fixed-wing, or ground transport.

Document accurate information for assessment, treatment, stabilization, and billing of patient transports.

Maintain and facilitate effective communication with management, customers, and all levels of personnel.

Participate in PR and marketing activities and continue education regarding the care and transport of critically ill / injured patients.

Ensure compliance with necessary certifications and competence in annual requirements.

Clinically function under the program’s Medical Director’s licensure and maintain knowledge of local Department of Health Services regulations and practices.

Requirements :

Active paramedic certification in the state of employment.

Minimum of three years (five years preferred) of current Paramedic field experience in a busy 911 / pre-hospital service.

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS / PEPP, and PHTLS / ITLS certifications; NRP and instructor certifications preferred.

FP-C certification within twenty-four months of hire.

Preferred flight or transport experience.

Completion of the education / orientation program.

Effective human relations and basic computer skills.

Preferred Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.

Ability to pass a physical exam, drug screening, background check, and maintain body weight below 235 lbs.
