Starting Rate of Pay : $10 per hour
Length of Time : Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.
Overview
The Choral Librarian supports the university choral program by managing, organizing, and distributing music for ensembles. This student employee plays an essential role in ensuring that rehearsals and performances run smoothly by maintaining the music library, assisting with preparation of scores, and helping coordinate music logistics for the choral program.
Job Location / Hours Required
The candidate will perform most / all job duties in (Hayworth Fine Arts Center – 4th Floor).
Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires flexible hours (typically 5–10 hours per week), scheduled around rehearsals, library needs, and performances. Student will use a music department form to record hours.
Responsibilities
Catalog, file, and organize choral scores in the library collection.
Prepare and distribute scores to choir members before rehearsals.
Assist conductors and ensemble managers with music-related needs.
Maintain choral library space in an organized, accessible manner.
