Responsibilities Position is in a Critical Access Hospital in an acute care setting covering both ER and Med / Surg units Nurses care for emergency, medical / surgical, and outpatient patient populations Unit has 10 patient rooms with a daily average of 4 patients Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2 or 1 : 3, with a maximum of 1 : 6 Works alongside another RN and often with a PCT or LPN as the third team member Required to float daily between ER, Med / Surg, and outpatient areas as needed Utilizes Epic for charting, Philips central monitor / telemetry, and Lifepak 15 Night shifts are 12 hours, with every other weekend required RNs are expected to cover ER as charge when needed Orientation is tailored to individual needs, up to one week with both day and night shift exposure Navy scrubs are required All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility Candidates with previous employment at Sanford Health must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration Local candidates within 80 miles may be accepted Requirements Active SD or Compact RN license required Minimum 3 years of RN experience with at least 2 years in the ER and 2 years in Med / Surg Current certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Critical Access Hospital experience preferred but not required Epic EMR experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613911.
