Labor & Delivery RN Job Details – Austin, TX Location : Austin, TX 78704 (Texas nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Unit : Labor & Delivery (12 LDR beds, 5 Antepartum beds, 4 OBED, 3 OR rooms) Start Date : October 20, 2025 End Date : January 19, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period Scheduling : Self-scheduling with collaborative team input Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state At least 2 years of recent experience in High Risk Labor & Delivery Required certifications : ACLS, NRP, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced EFM Strong clinical skills in high acuity Labor & Delivery settings Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Motivated, positive attitude Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients Monitor maternal and fetal status using advanced electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) Assist with and circulate for C-sections, vaginal deliveries, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries, and emergent OB procedures Participate in massive transfusion protocols and care for high-risk obstetric cases, including PASD Collaborate with physicians, Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs), and schedulers for optimal patient outcomes Document patient care using CPN and Meditech EMR systems Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and families Experience the excitement of Austin while working with a dedicated Labor & Delivery nursing team in a facility recognized for excellence in maternal and neonatal care.
