Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring charge nurse flexibility and current IN or compact licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work on a Med / Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
  • Unit is designated as 2E overflow for additional patient coverage
  • Day shift with 4x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30
  • Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned as needed with training provided
  • Floating required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals
  • Must be willing to assume charge nurse duties as operationally needed
  • Required to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contract
  • Return candidates must have been away from perm or PRN employment at IU for 12 months before applying
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Auto-approval for up to 5 days of requested time off
  • Local candidates are not accepted for Med / Surg Tele positions

  • Active IN or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Med / Surg Tele experience required
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications from AHA or RQI accepted
  • EMR experience with Cerner required
  • Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
