Position Overview
As a Lead Technician , you’ll own project execution from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the jobsite, enjoys solving technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering polished, fully functional systems to satisfied clients. You’ll lead a dedicated install crew, guide junior techs, and ensure that work is completed to the company’s high standards.
This position is perfect for someone who’s already experienced in integration but wants a chance to lead—and grow into more.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute installations of Control4, Crestron, and Lutron systemsMentor and guide junior team members on best practices and techniquesEnsure clean, complete project handoffs to clients (no 85% done jobs!)Interpret wiring schematics, construction plans, and system documentationConduct programming and system configurationCommunicate with project managers, sales team, and clients throughout the jobSupport service handoffs when needed (limited service coverage only)Maintain a professional and client-facing demeanor on-siteUse company tools and vehicles responsibly and efficientlyQualifications
3+ years experience in residential or commercial AV integrationStrong hands-on skills with Control4 (required); Crestron and / or Lutron experience strongly preferredAbility to lead small teams and manage jobsite prioritiesComfortable with light programming or system configurationTechnically curious and willing to learn new platforms (Crestron Home, commercial Crestron, lighting control, etc.)Able to follow through and complete projects with minimal supervisionExcellent communication skills and client-facing professionalismNice-to-Haves
Crestron SIMPL or Crestron Home certificationPrior leadership experience on job sitesLighting, shading, or network infrastructure knowledgeAptitude for troubleshooting and customer educationBenefits
