Responsibilities :

• Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle / length using pipe cutters and benders
• Copper Brazing and soldering
• Cut, prep, assemble, and install PVC / CPVC pipe
• Cut, thread, assemble, and install steel pipe
• Prepare, fabricate, fit and install welded pipe to specifications
• Install valves, hangers, supports and flanges in piping systems according to plans and applicable specifications
• Repair leaks in all types of pipe systems
• Assemble, install and repair piping systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes
• Assist with coordination of materials, labor and equipment
• Responsible for training and developing apprentices
• Ensure all safety procedures and quality standards are followed
• Work with other departments as needed
