Our client, a public sector entity in Florida is seeking a Technical Writer.

100% Remote- must be based in the United States

1 year contract assignment

Responsible for creation and maintenance of IT documentation. Translates technical and / or complicated information into clear, concise documents appropriate for various target audiences. Works with Development, Quality Assurance and Technical Support to produce a wide variety of technical publications including instructional materials, technical manuals, product documentation and the like for use by both the IT and business community. Interviews subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate layout and material organization. Researches information such as drawings, design reports, equipment and test specifications to fill any gaps. Advanced professional level role. Works on several moderately complex, to complex document management projects as a project team member. May coach more junior staff.

Responsibilities :

• Translates technical and / or complicated information into clear, concise documents appropriate for various target audiences.
• Collaborates with engineers, system administrators, and product teams to gather technical information and translate it into clear, concise documentation.
• Interviews with subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate layout and material organization.
• Researches information such as drawings, design reports, equipment and test specifications to fill any gaps.
• Creates visual assets such as diagrams, flowcharts, info-graphics, and annotated screenshots to enhance technical content.
• Manages several ongoing efforts simultaneously
