The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of materials and components sourced from external suppliers. This role involves assessing supplier capabilities, establishing quality requirements, monitoring supplier performance, and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure product quality and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Supplier Assessment and Selection :

Evaluate potential suppliers based on their quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and quality performance history.

• Participate in supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Quality Requirements Definition :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality requirements for materials and components.

Supplier Performance Monitoring :

Monitor supplier performance through metrics such as defect rates, on-time delivery, and corrective action responsiveness.

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions :

Investigate quality issues and non-conformances related to supplied materials / components.

Supplier Development :

Provide guidance and support to suppliers to improve their quality management systems and processes.

Risk Management :

Identify and assess risks associated with supplier quality, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Continuous Improvement :

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and optimize supply chain performance.
