The Lead Repair Technician is responsible for overseeing Repair Technicians and their testing, refurbishing, repairing and programming of various ATM assemblies. These assemblies include dispensers, depositories, printers, PC boards, among others.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees and trains Repair Technicians by demonstrating exemplar technical and mechanical skills
  • Supervises the repair of printed circuit boards (PCB) and / or peripherals to factory conditions
  • Directs Repair Technicians to diagnoses cause of electrical problem accurately for the purpose of identifying equipment and / or system repairs and replacement needs
  • Tests, refurbishes, repairs and initiates programming of various ATM assemblies
  • Monitors the utilization of test equipment and electronic principals to diagnose failures
  • Documents all findings and labor performance in the data collection system
  • Performs diagnostics and testing of ATMs and ATM assemblies both mechanical and electronic
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs a variety of other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Education And Experience

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience is required
  • Prior Supervisory and or Lead Technician experience along with bench repair and testing of electro-mechanical equipment preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, and other PC-based programs.
  • Must be able to load Software on Hard Drive
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a basic understanding of electronics and or electro-mechanical equipment operation
  • Must have knowledge of using basic hand tools
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding ESD
  • Works under minimal supervision
  • A certain degree of creativity and analytical skills are required.
  • Must be able to work flexible work schedule
  • Positive attitude
  • Problem-solving / Troubleshooting skills
  • Self -motivated
  • Knowledge of Electronic Theory
  • ATM assembly repair experience a plus
  • Diebold / NCR / Wincor Nixdorf ATM assembly repair experience a plus
  • Must be able to read and understand schematics and troubleshoot to component level
  • Full understanding and use of Oscilloscope and Multi-Meters.

    • Physical Demands

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
  • The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision.

    • Work Environment

  • The employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Hearing protection is available and encouraged.
  • The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
  • This position is a high-security position, and may pose a risk of exposure to criminal elements. Proper security training and awareness is required.
