Responsibilities Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit covering neonates, adolescents, and adults Unit consists of 4 labor rooms, 2 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, 10 postpartum rooms, and 2 stabilization nursery beds Night shifts available : 3x12 or 4x12 hours (6 : 30pm-6 : 30am), with 1-2 call shifts per 8-week schedule Floating required within scope to meet facility or affiliate hospital needs Weekend work required every other weekend Documentation system is Cerner, and medication system is Pyxis Utilizes infant warmers, PANDAs, and Centrak infant security equipment Traveler must be able to work in all areas of Labor and Delivery including circulating and triage roles Duties include caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients from 36 weeks gestation and older Support available from in-house NP / NNP, IV team, pharmacy, phlebotomy, PT, radiology, rapid response, respiratory, social services, and transportation First-time travelers are accepted but seasoned travelers are preferred Navy blue scrubs required; surgical services scrubs provided Free parking available for staff Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays as assigned Time off during the first week is not permitted due to orientation requirements Two professional references required for consideration Previous employees must wait 12 months before reapplying as a traveler; rehire approval needed for those previously employed Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license required by start date Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience Certifications required : Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced AWHONN, Basic Life Support (BCLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Ability to circulate and triage in Labor and Delivery Cerner charting experience required Must be able to float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619764.
