The Mueller Co Cleveland TN location is growing and has an opening for a Welder to join our team.

SUMMARY

The driving force behind MUELLER's success is our people. This position is an integral part of ensuring that our products meet the highest standards and maintains customer satisfaction. This position is primarily responsible for operating a computer numerical control (CNC) lathe and mill machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; and maintaining equipment and supplies. Must be able to collaborate with team members to ensure a high-quality product for our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS DUTIES / RESPONSIBLITIES

• Read blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Sets-up mills and lathes by installing tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers, indicating vices
• Loads or feeds mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
• Maintains specifications by observing milling, drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread cutting operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
