About The Position

ID : 72801511 Shift : 12H Nights 12 hr nights Description : Unit Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.v

• Fingernail policy : Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract
• Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.
• RN's - Pass / Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated
• Department : ICU RN
• Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• will not approve blocked scheduling unless it's weekends only, I can ask. They also will not take duos that want same schedule or share car.- # of Beds : 33 beds, average daily census is 16- Ratios : 1 : 2-3 for adults,- Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Adults, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress- Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes- Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedation- Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? : Nasal cannula to vent- Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? : RNs required to read and interpret- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) : 0630-1830, 1830-0630 / / Self scheduling for core staff, travelers added in. Unable to guarantee block scheduling- Weekend Requirements : Every other- Holiday Requirements : Rotating based on weekend group- Floating Requirements : Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg- How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 1 shiftRadius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.Entered on : 12 / 2 / 2023 Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN Required : License to Trauma Level : Care Shift Notes : 12 hr nights Required , BLS, NIHSS Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract
