Responsibilities
- Deliver complex construction packages, including tool installation design. Account for the schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks. Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Work in a multi-disciplinary collaborative team environment.
- Produce single-line diagrams depicting electrical power systems (208Y / 120V through 480V), installation details, electric room layouts, tool installation connection diagrams, cable tray layouts, cable schedules, power plans, lighting plans, breaker coordination studies, and Arc Flash / Short-Circuit Current studies.
- Support senior engineers in the selection and specification of electrical equipment. Duties may include providing on-site assistance during startups.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program in Electrical or Renewable Energy.Minimum 6 years of Electrical Engineering experience related to facility engineering.Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC).Working knowledge of CAD and / or BIM modeling software.Strong skill set to digitally markup drawings, utilizing applications such as Autodesk Design Review and BIM360 for delegating to a designer.Experience working in construction environments, including field verifications.Familiarity with design and construction project delivery, from project initiation, detailed design, specification format, and services during construction.Ideally, you'll also have
Professional Engineering License (PE) with the ability to obtain in the State of Idaho.Knowledge and application of NEC, OSHA, and NFPA codes and standards.Experience leading a small team.Experience with semiconductor tool installation.Experience with project scoping and development.Experience with PTW SKM power analysis software, Easypower, and / or ETAP.Experience with NavisWorks and / or Revit BIM software.Strong communication skills with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability for forward thinking, eagerness to learn best practices, and to contribute with innovative ideas.Displayed ability to learn quickly and a drive to broaden knowledge base.Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.Passion for buildings and construction.Other Requirements
This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Boise, ID.Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours (8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm) with some flexibility based on site needs and employee preference.Physical Requirements
Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction.
