ENGIE North America is seeking an Intern for our Chilled Water Operations group on the University of Iowa campus. This is a year round opportunity working with engineering, operations and maintenance. The position supports the team responsible for delivering chilled water for building cooling across multiple campuses. The team maintains chillers at four plants and oversees interface systems in each building served by the chilled water network. This position may also assist with development and execution of materials inventory tracking, or installed inventory, using a variety of computer programs.
What youll do :
Student may independently conduct data collection, modeling, sampling or light maintenance without direct supervision
Student may assist with data analysis, modeling and recommendations for improvements to system designs, operations procedures preventative maintenance programs and record-keeping systems
Independently identify maintenance needs and create Corrective Work Orders
Identify operation procedures to write Standard Operating Procedures and Preventative Maintenance procedures
Efficiently develop and maintain results and analysis of the chilled water systems across campus, working at the direction of the Chilled Water management and planning staff to help identify, document and track chilled water system performance and maintenance needs
Maintain records systems
Ability to identify and track Chilled Water assets
Maintain equipment inventory databases, working at the direction of Chilled Water management and planning staff. Inventory could be retained in spreadsheet, database, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), depending on dataset and usage
Other duties as assigned

Capable of frequently standing; walking; balancing; sitting; climbing (ladders, stairs, ramps, catwalks and the like as required); kneeling; pushing; pulling; lifting
Capable of performing repetitive motions as required
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
The noise level in the work environment may exceed moderate
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Hourly Range : $22.50 - $32.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
