Purpose
Help us deliver high-quality paperboard packaging by running a Heidelberg lithographic (offset) press to exacting standards. Your work turns detailed layouts and specifications into precise, production-ready results while upholding Snyder’s commitment to safety and quality.
Your impact
- Translate job layouts and project specs into a clean, efficient press setup
- Own the make-ready : mount plates, set ink / water balance, and optimize settings
- Monitor each load run with pre-determined pulls and adjust to maintain color, registration, and consistency
- Document operating and maintenance activities; request service when needed
- Keep the press clean and production-ready
- Partner with your supervisor and plant manager on additional assignments
- Model safe work practices and quality-first habits
Primary time focus
80% : Make-ready and run the Heidelberg offset press to Snyder Pkg. quality standards10% : Plate hanging / positioning and ink / water level setup; associated press operations5% : Computer-based data entry and form completion5% : Preventive maintenance and cleaningSkills and experience
Experience operating offset printing equipment with dependable color visionBasic shop mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Intermediate English communication skillsBasic computer literacy for data entry, typing, and printingMeasurement competence, including accurate ruler readingCompetencies
Mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilityDetail orientation with the ability to spot defects quicklyWorking knowledge of printing, die cutting, and gluing processesPhysical demands

Warehouse setting within a paperboard packaging operation; frequent reaching, bending, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
